It’s time to make reservations to ring in the New Year in luxurious Rancho Santa Fe style at the Rancho Valencia. This year, their restaurant presents New Year's Eve diners with "an epicurean treat for the senses." Executive Chef Eric Bauer has planned a seven course dinner to which only the full menu descriptions can do justice. But to give you an idea, one course is a Maine lobster velouté with lobster and truffle agnolotti, wild mushroom duxelles and whipped crème fraîche. Each course is perfectly pair with a libation selected by sommelier Jason Knack, one of the highlights being a 1994 Vintage Fonesca Port.The evening begins at 9:00pm on December 31, 2011.
