Come out for an evening of red carpet glamor in support of one of San DiegoÂ’s best known and beloved attractions, the San Diego Zoo.

Zoomerangwill benefit the new Australian Outback habitat. The annual black-tie fundraising gala,  R•I•T•Z (Rendezvous in the Zoo), will be unlike most visits to the zoo. Attendees will enjoy lavish hor d’oeuvres stations, specially crafted cocktails, a silent auction, and a 3-course gourmet dinner. Guests can also meet renowned animal advocate Joan Embery and several animal friends up close. Wayne Foster Entertainment will provide music for dancing under the stars.

Zoomerang will be the zooÂ’s 29th consecutive annual fundraising gala. Since 1984, over $11 million dollars has been raised for the San Diego Zoo, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, and the San Diego Zoo Institute for Conservation Research. Past beneficiaries have included popular attractions like the Sun Bear Forest, Pygmy Chimps at Bonobo Road, and Elephant Odyssey. Organizers hope to raise $1 million for the new Australian Outback attraction.

Zoomerang is likely to sell out. Reserve your tickets today by contacting reservation chair Marilyn Neumann at (619) 287-5435 or via email.
