Rancho Santa Fe residents 50 and older are invited to take part in the Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club’s upcoming lifelong learning courses starting in June.
This annual series features intellectually challenging, non-credit courses taught by local professors and experts in their respective fields. This year’s offerings include two six-week options, open to both members and non-members.
Professor Jack Williams, in partnership with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, will lead his class through a course titled “The Movie Camera and the Ballot Box: Hollywood and Politics”. This course description reads:

Come out for a celebrity golf championship in honor of our military and their families, May 18-20 at La Costa Resort and Spa. Military members and their families can enjoy free admission all three days.
The Drew Brees Celebrity Championship will feature some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment, competing in a friendly tournament to raise funds for the Brees Dream Foundation. The foundation supports organizations such as Rady Children's Hospital, San Diego Armed Services YMCA, Friends of Scott Foundation, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Pacific South Coast Chapter.

Rancho Santa Fe residents will have an opportunity to meet a highly-regarded author and former US Navy SEAL as part of the Rancho Santa Fe Library Guild’s spring author talks.
Brandon Webb will discuss the riveting story about his life so far and about writing his memoir about his time as a US Navy SEAL, The Red Circle. The event will take place at a private residence in Rancho Santa Fe on May 18. Guests can enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at the reception. A signed copy of The Red Circle is included in the ticket price.
