A comfortable thirteen-seat movie theatre with upholstered suede walls and a live performance stage offers a setting to entertain your most discerning guests.

The path leading to the two-bedroom guest house features an Ashler pattern Ramon Gold stone fountain and Linen Flagstone steps. A hundred-year-old Indian door opens to lovely, comfortable accommodations, warmed by a ceiling made of timbers from a Washington state railroad bridge, a 17th-century French fireplace and 18th-century French Borgogne pavers. Orange, grapefruit and lemon trees surround the guesthouse with their intoxicating scents.

Below the guesthouse, a winding underground path with Israeli stone walls and candlelit sconces leads the way to a two-lane bowling alley and game room with computer-controlled scoring. Custom mahogany flooring, hand-carved black walnut pub furniture and an entry paved in flagstone from the streets of Yorkshire, England, set the tone. The ceiling is French Parfeuille, a brick used as insulation in European wine cellars.

Life in this world revolves around the spectacular outdoor living pavilion with its resort-style pool, poolside cabana/bar area, outdoor Buddha bar and lounge with fire/water feature, fully equipped outdoor barbecue, and fire pit fashioned from a 300-year-old stone millwheel. The dining area overlooks a glorious view of the palm court framed in roses.

In the astonishing European-inspired spa pavilion, collapsing walls open to the glorious gardens and azure sky. Amenities include his/hers baths and showers enriched by custom hand-shaped basketweave limestone, marble and travertine. Intricate mosaic ceiling and floor detail throughout define the lavish tone. The steam room and Roman spa room are walled in intricate mosaic stones collected from fifteen countries. An Italian tile ceiling and Italian stone fountains, statues and columns add to the rich ambience.

Several walking paths wind through the breathtaking grounds, accented by benches that invite a pause to drink in the landscape. The delights you’ll encounter range from a lagoon garden with rainforest water lily pads and flashing Koi, traversed by a custom-made stone bridge, to a perch atop a 200-foot waterfall with sweeping vistas of the verdant world below.

Casa del Sol was created to accommodate events on a grand scale: tented gatherings, weddings, fund-raisers and expansive entertaining. The magnificent palm court can seat 500 guests for a spectacular lawn event surrounded by roses in bloom. The adjacent north/south tennis court can accommodate an additional 500 guests and a stage. The driveway, measuring 1,000 feet, leads to an extensive parking area and a ten-car garage.

A gym with bath and steam shower, wet bar and bedroom and a caretaker’s quarters with two one-bedroom apartments, a laundry and a dog-grooming station complete the setting.
